ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The international scientific and practical conference of young scientists and students “Software engineering and advanced information technologies” (SoftTech) is a platform where scientific and pedagogical workers, students, postgraduates, doctoral students and representatives of the IT industry can discuss current problems of software engineering.

The organizer of the conference is the Department of Informatics and Software Engineering of the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering of National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.

The purpose of the conference is to involve students, young scientists and representatives of the IT industry to discuss current problems in the field of software engineering. The conference is also used as a platform for discussing the educational programs of the department. The discussions are attended by scientific and pedagogical workers of the department, students, members of the academic community and representatives of employers. One of such discussions took place within the framework of the VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference SoftTech-2025, which took place on May 13-15, 2025. The discussion considered the features of the implementation of the educational and professional program and the educational and scientific program “Software Engineering of Information Systems” and proposed ways to improve the quality of teaching.

The main thematic directions of the conference:

1. Modern programming languages, the latest paradigms, architectures and programming methods.
2. Parallel and distributed computing.
3. High-performance computing and processing of extremely large data sets.
4. Database and knowledge models.
5. Methods of testing, verification, quality assessment and program optimization.
